Striking spaces that actually feel like home. Drama without disorder. Beauty without sacrifice. Bold, functional, and completely yours. Designed to stop you. Built to hold you.

Our process

01.

The Conversation

We start by getting to know you. How you live, what you're drawn to, and what you want to feel when you walk through the door. No questionnaires. No style quizzes. Just an honest conversation that becomes the foundation for everything we build.

02.

The Curation

Every piece is sourced by hand from local markets, artisan makers, and trade suppliers most people can't access independently. We render the finished space before anything is purchased, so you can see exactly what you're getting and approve every detail with confidence.

03.

The Reveal

Your complete design, ready to bring to life. You receive a detailed sourcing guide, purchasing links, and everything needed to implement the vision. Whether you're handling it yourself or want us to manage it on the ground, we make sure nothing is left to guesswork.

What people are saying

Testimonial Carousel

There is no template for you.

No two projects look the same because no two people are the same. We don't arrive with a signature look and fit you into it. We find out who you are, source around you, and build something that could only ever be yours. Wherever you are in the world, wherever you've chosen to plant roots, we'll make sure the space is ready when you are.

Designed with intention.
Sourced with purpose.

Good design isn't just about how a room looks. It's about how it feels to live in it every single day. We think about light and how it moves through a space. We think about scale, texture, and the weight of a room when everything is in its right place. We source pieces that have character and longevity because a home built around disposable trends never quite feels like it belongs to anyone.Anastasia brings a trained eye and genuine curiosity to every project. No two spaces are approached the same way because no two clients want the same thing. The result is always a home that feels considered, personal, and completely at ease with itself.

The DWELLO difference

  • Every piece sourced by hand, nothing chosen by algorithm

  • Trade access to suppliers the public simply can't reach

  • Your full room rendered before a single purchase is made

  • One designer on every project, start to finish

  • Bold and beautiful without chaos or compromise

The designer behind DWELLO

"I believe a room should hold you."

- Anastasia Lewis, Interior Designer

Dwello was born from a simple realization: the spaces we come home to shape how we feel, think, and recover. Anastasia Lewis founded Dwello to prove that a home can be deeply striking and deeply restful at the same time. Drawing on years of global design experience and a background in boutique hospitality, she brings a level of intention to private residences that most people only ever experience in exceptional hotels.Every project is hers personally. She sources every piece, makes every decision, and stays involved from the first conversation to the final installation. For clients relocating across borders or furnishing a home they haven't yet lived in, that kind of singular, trusted presence makes all the difference.

  • Parsons School of Design, Honors Graduate

  • Background in boutique hospitality and global residential design

  • Trade license access to suppliers unavailable to the public

  • Local sourcing across artisan markets and independent makers

  • Featured in Homes & Gardens and Home & Decor

Real people. Real places.

The Pre-War Jewel

New York, USA

Small doesn't have to mean compromised. This compact pre-war bedroom had great bones and almost no room to breathe. We rethought the layout entirely, used vertical styling to expand the visual volume, and sourced mid-century pieces that earn their place without crowding it. The result is a room that feels considered and generous despite its footprint.

Small space. Big personality.

  • Mid-century artisan sourcing

  • Vertical spatial planning

  • Compact layout reimagined

  • Natural material palette

This bedroom and bathroom were redesigned as a single flowing environment rather than two separate rooms. The brief was bold and we leaned into it fully. Crimson walls, soft transitional textures, and deliberate lighting work together so the drama of the space never tips into restlessness. Striking to walk into. Easy to stay in.

The Crimson Suite

New York, USA

Drama that doesn't keep you up at night.

  • Saturated tonal palette

  • Dual-zone suite design

  • Texture and lighting balance

  • Artisan and vintage curation

The Heritage Retreat

Lisbon, Portugal

Antique soul. Quietly restored.

This project was about listening to a building before imposing anything on it. Located in historic Lisbon, the apartment had a character worth honoring. We sourced secondhand finds and sustainable artisan pieces that felt native to the space rather than installed in it. Old soul, thoughtfully restored.

  • Vintage and artisan sourcing

  • Historic character preserved

  • Sustainable material selection

  • Warm textural layering

A home that needed to host a dinner party on Saturday and offer a quiet reading corner on Sunday. We worked with the original architecture rather than against it, adding a modern boutique polish to traditional bones. Every choice serves both modes without compromising either one.

The Sonoma Sanctuary

California, USA

For hosting and hiding in equal measure.

  • Dual-purpose social spaces

  • Architecture-led design

  • Artisan and vintage sourcing

  • Earthy material palette

Sources that we love.

FAQs

Dwello FAQ
Where are you based and where do you work? +
We are based in Lisbon, Portugal. We work with clients in Lisbon and Porto, and take on select international projects. If you're outside these areas get in touch. If the project is the right fit we'll find a way to make it work.
Do you work with clients who haven't moved yet? +
Yes, and this is where we do some of our most useful work. Many of our clients approve their full design remotely before they arrive. We handle everything on the ground in Lisbon so that when you walk through the door for the first time, it already feels like home. We work across time zones and communicate entirely in English.
How long does the process take? +
It depends on the scope. For The First Room, you'll receive your full design concept and sourcing list within 7 to 10 business days. For full home projects involving spatial planning or renovation work, timelines vary significantly and are agreed during the proposal stage. Either way we'll always give you a realistic picture upfront rather than a number that sounds good but doesn't hold.
What is included in The First Room? +
Everything needed to transform one room completely. You get a full design concept led by Anastasia personally, a photorealistic render of the finished space for your approval, a hand-sourced purchasing list with direct links, and implementation notes so the final styling feels straightforward. One round of refinements is included.
What if I need a full home? +
That's what The Dwello Sanctuary is for. We move beyond decoration into full spatial planning, architectural documentation, material and finish direction, and complete project management from first sketch to final installation. Get in touch and we'll talk through the scope.
How much of my time will this require? +
Not much. Beyond the initial conversation and a mid-point check-in to review the concept, we handle everything. The sourcing, the coordination, the purchasing list. Your job is to tell us what you want and then approve what we build. We do the rest.
Do you use AI? +
AI doesn't design your space. Anastasia does. Every concept, every sourced piece, every decision is hers. We use AI-assisted rendering as a visualization tool so you can see the finished room before anything is purchased. The creativity is human. The render is just how we show you the result before you commit to it.
Is there a minimum investment for furnishings? +
We source from trade suppliers, artisan makers, and local markets rather than retail chains. Most single-room projects involve a furnishing investment from $10,000 upward depending on scope and existing pieces. We'll discuss what's realistic for your space during the discovery session.
Can you work with existing pieces? +
Always. A home should feel like an evolution of who you are, not a showroom reset. We're experienced at working around existing furniture, art, and heirloom pieces and integrating them into the design rather than designing around them as an afterthought.
Do you only work on residential projects? +
Primarily yes, though we have experience in hospitality design and occasionally take on commercial projects that are the right fit. If you have something in mind that falls outside a standard home project, reach out and we'll have an honest conversation about whether we're the right studio for it.
const items = document.querySelectorAll('.faq-item'); items.forEach(item => { item.addEventListener('click', () => { item.classList.toggle('active'); }); });

We're based in Lisbon but our work doesn't stop here. We've designed spaces in New York, California, London, Porto, Paris, and Dubai. If you have a project outside our usual areas or something that doesn't fit neatly into a package, get in touch. If it's the right fit we'll find a way to make it work.

Let’s bring your sanctuary to life.
